Los Angeles Unique Itinerary

Let’s go to LA LA Land!!

Los Angeles hardly needs an introduction. With its iconic stars, laid-back vibes, and the glitz of Hollywood, LA is instantly recognizable. We’ve all heard about the must-see spots thanks to movies, social media, and travel blogs. But to switch things up, we’re sharing a few of our personal favorites-lesser-known gems that might not be on every tourist map, but ones we truly love.

Marina Del Rey Farmers Market

A beautiful way to start your day with fresh produce, flowers, prepared foods (tamales, crepes, pupusas, etc.) with beautiful views of the boats parked in the Marina and gorgeous blue waters. They also have  handmade crafts, jewelry, candles, and more to take back as souvenirs.

👉 It takes place every Saturday from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m and it is year-round
Location: Parking Lot #11, 14101 Panay Way, Marina del Rey, CA (corner of Via Marina & Panay Way, next to The Cheesecake Factory).

Boat Ride

While you are at the Farmers Market, grab some snacks and head to the Marina for a boat ride.

Here are a few of our recommendations:

Sawtelle Japan Town

Sawtelle Boulevard between Santa Monica and Olympic has long served as a hub for the Japanese American community in Los Angeles. It is known for its unique blend of nostalgic plant nurseries, anime shops, ramen joints, boba stores, and more. You have to check out Killer Noodle if you enjoy spicy ramen!

Manhattan Beach

A more upscale and beautiful beach town to spend the day in the sunshine. If you are looking for a more laid back and bougie afternoon, then Manhattan Beach is the spot. Downtown Manhattan Beach offers a relaxed and high-quality mix of boutiques, cafés, and restaurants.

👉 For those who are athletic and enjoy working out, check out the Sand Dune Park Workout in Manhattan Beach and challenge yourself on the steep sand dunes before laying at the beach and soaking in some LA sunshine.

Sports

Most people know LA for the infamous LA Lakers, but we encourage you to catch a basketball game to watch the LA Clippers (sometimes these tickets are much cheaper than the Laker tickets) or catch a football game at the SoFi Stadium and watch the Rams in action. .

Malibu Wineries

While the first thing we think about when we hear the name Malibu is Nobu, there is more to this beautiful area. For those of you who are wine lovers, Malibu has some hidden gems which are a great place for some wine, sunshine and gorgeous ocean views. We highly recommend adding this to your list.

While there is an endless list of things to do in beautiful Los Angeles, we believe that this list allows you to try things that are a bit more of the local experience and allow you to take in the real LA culture and essence. We will continue to blog more about our favorite spots to help you find those hidden gems. As always, enjoy every moment of planning your unforgettable adventure, the ShiShi Style way!
