Covid Conscious Traveling

We can all agree that 2020 was a year that changed our lives in ways we never imagined. Most of us have stories from those early days of the pandemic about the shock of sudden lockdowns, the fear of uncertainty, and the strange stillness of being confined at home. For travel lovers, the world shifted overnight and it included new immigration policies, reconfigured airplane seating, and for the first time we had concerns about air filters on flights. While the world has largely “moved on,” the reality is that COVID still lingers. For those of us who remain COVID-conscious, a bit of anxiety around travel hasn’t quite disappeared. At ShiShi Style, we believe travel should be a positive, enriching experience, and above all, a safe one. Below are our tips and tricks on how we stay safe while traveling:

Masks

We know masks aren’t the most fun to wear, however science continues to show they’re one of the most effective ways to protect yourself. Since COVID and many other viruses are spread through airborne particles, wearing a well-fitting mask remains a smart and reliable choice, especially while flying. Be sure to pack a high-quality mask and wear it throughout your flight to reduce your risk.

Wipes

Wipes are a simple yet powerful way to reduce your exposure to germs while traveling. We rely on antiviral wipes to clean high-touch surfaces in planes, hotels, and other shared spaces to help us stay safe. They’re easy to carry, quick to use, and make a big difference. Here are some of our favorite go to wipes. They are effective and travel-friendly:

Hand Sanitizer

The perfect way to stay germ-free on the go is with travel-size hand sanitizers. Convenient, effective, and easy to carry. You can just clip them to your bag or toss them in your purse for quick access anytime. Check out some of our favorites:

Over The Counter Medications

Whether it is Covid or any other illness, we always recommend carrying basic over the counter medications to help you get through any minor bugs until you can see a doctor. We suggest including medications that can help with cold/ flu symptoms, any stomach related symptoms and always having a basic first aid kit.

Even though travel has changed in the world, we can still take the necessary precautions to ensure we can continue to see the world and enjoy the beauty it has to offer while keeping ourselves safe and healthy. As always, enjoy every moment of planning your unforgettable adventure, the ShiShi Style way!
